“Whilst you said

 You were off

Chasing my demons,

Little did I know,

You were chasing

Them onto me.”

Life before you was simple. I was happy dreaming of dreamy utopias with me as their reigning queen. I had the stars within my grasp and I could paint with colours non-existent. I used to marvel at them. They spoke words to me and I spoke back to them through my loving strokes. The world was my canvas interminatis.

But you rudely barged in. You were a gatecrasher in my party at first. Oh, and…

Does True Love Happen In Teenage?

I had decided not to write on such topics on which every teen feels helpless.

But, one of my friends asked me to write on this topic and so I thought, I should go for it now.

Most of the grown-ups may call love in teenage –“Baby Love”-childish, with no maturity, just fun, just attraction and not more.

A teen may feel my love is the only true love in this world. It might not have happened truly to others at this age, but I am lucky to experience it so early.

Fellow-mates may think, the other couple is just faking. But a close friend says- “I have never seen so loving couple other than yours”.

So many perspectives. But which one is true? Even if love is true, is it fine to have it at this age?

I say it is never wrong to love a fellow-being. I say, yes true love happens at teenage- maybe not with all- but with most of us- as the world exists only with love. Had there been no love, no feelings between people, people would have killed each other and would have thus killed human existence.

True love does exist in teenage coz initially, every teen who thinks to be in love is very mad for their love, cares the most for her/him, observes every behavior of him/her, appreciates every good thing about her/him, complains or warns him/her if he/she does something wrong, makes him/her feel special, no matter what others say about their love, they believe only when they themselves see or feel it, they help each other in studies, they are the happiest in their love’s success, give the thoughts of their love equal importance.

Is this not what we call selfless true love?

Yes, we do call it.

According to me, a relationship can be summed up as – “An Official Agreement to be able to care for each other even if the other doesn’t want to be cared for.”

But why grown-ups feel teenage love is immature and just a so-called Baby Love, although they themselves have gone through it?

It is because as we grow up while still in our teenage, our priorities change, even if we don’t want to.

We have to really really focus on our studies, our career, our future. Teen mind is very conscious of what others think about them. So teens strive to prove themselves in front of others – whether it may be in sports, education, in front of family and teachers or maybe they strive to prove themselves in being a fashionista in front of friends.

Grown-ups believe it or not, teens are surely conscious about what they have to do in life and how.

Slowly and gradually, the career-driven thoughts or so-called “I’ll prove myself” thoughts or sometimes even “I’m the best” thoughts get really concentrated in your already saturated mind.

Aspects of teen life – “ego, priority change, mental instability, pressure, reputation consciousness” are the ones which kill the body where true love resides ( the outer appearance of true love).

Since, we all know , energy can neither be created nor be destroyed, thus the energy which used to run the body of true love still exists even if the outer appearance of true love (its body- your actions, your behavior, care, joy, smiles, etc. etc. for your love) ceases to exist.

What is left is an abstract energy- the true love. Since its physical container destroyed and the residue is abstract, it can no longer be accessed by the person himself since it can no longer be touched or seen or heard by the person.

Thus, it often remains out of sight. But sometimes occasionally, at rare times, its feeling may arise.

It is abstract, it can be felt.

True love exists. Initially, complete- as a body and a soul. Then, just as a soul- unseen, unheard, untouchable, ignored, subdued, but still it is there in us.
